Join us for a fun-filled evening as we transport ourselves to a cozy Greek taverna on a warm night in Athens. Together, we’ll prepare and enjoy some of Greece’s most beloved dishes while learning traditional cooking techniques along the way.
We’ll begin with spanakopita, made the traditional way with fresh spinach, onion, mint, parsley, and feta cheese wrapped in delicate phyllo dough and finished with toasted sesame seeds. A classic Greek salad with feta and olives will follow as your salad course.
For the main course, everyone will help create Greece’s answer to lasagna, pastitsio. This comforting baked dish features layers of noodles, seasoned ground lamb and beef with warm hints of cinnamon, feta cheese, and a rich, creamy béchamel sauce.
To end the evening on a sweet note, we’ll prepare portakalopita, a dessert made famous on the island of Crete. This moist orange and vanilla cake is uniquely made with phyllo dough and yogurt instead of flour, creating a light yet decadent finish to the meal.
